Program Notes
Under a Gibbous Moon is based upon the H.P. Lovecraft short story, “The Doom that Came to Sarnath“. The composition is in four movements: Under a Gibbous Moon, Slaughter of the Innocents, and Prophecy Fulfilled. The work was commissioned by Tubist Dr. Robin Sisk and Florida Arts Educator Rebecca Micha and is dedicated to the memory of Tubist Lee Felton and Marimbist Jeremy Kushner.
